Terms of Service

Version v1.7 · 21 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Ishizenz when you use the service. They describe what the product does today, what you may and may not do with it, who owns what, and what happens when something goes wrong.

1.The agreement

Ishizenz is operated by Andrea Bosco in Italy. By creating an account you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not create an account — the sign-up form will not let you, which is deliberate.

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are using Ishizenz for your employer, you are confirming that you are allowed to accept these terms for them.

2.What the service is

Ishizenz is a web application for structured root-cause analysis. You describe a problem, break it into categories on an Ishikawa (fishbone) diagram, record the causes and sub-causes underneath them, mark which are excluded and which are confirmed, and export the result.

What exists today is exactly that: creating and editing analyses, the diagram and the cause list, the five export formats, JSON import, AI-suggested causes for the whole diagram, an AI review of the evidence behind your causes, the 8D report, AI drafts of six of its disciplines, and exporting that report as a Word document, the settings described in the Privacy Policy, and installing the app to your device. Features described elsewhere as planned — shared workspaces — are not part of the service and are not part of this agreement until they ship.

The AI features

There are two: suggested causes, and a review of the evidence behind the causes you have recorded. When you ask for either, part of your analysis is sent to Anthropic in the United States and an answer comes back. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly which fields go and which do not, and they are not the same for the two.

Two things belong here rather than there. A model can be confidently wrong, so treat a suggestion as a prompt to think and a review as a second opinion, not as findings — nothing is added to your analysis unless you add it, no status changes unless you change it, and what you keep is yours in the same way everything else you typed is. And how much AI an account may use in a month depends on its plan — the allowance is measured by what requests cost, not by how many you make; when it is gone the rest of the application carries on working.

Closed testing, and what that means for you

The service is in closed testing. It is provided free of charge, there is no payment path, and it is offered as it is. Things may break, and a change may require you to accept a new version of these terms. What we do not do is treat your data casually because the product is young: the Privacy Policy applies in full, and so does your right to take your data out and to have it deleted.

3.Your account

The account is yours and you are responsible for what happens under it, so keep the password to yourself. If you think somebody else has access, change the password and use “Sign out of all devices” in Settings → Security, which ends every session including theirs.

One account is for one person. Sharing a login is the one thing that makes the record of who changed an analysis meaningless, which is the part of this product a quality process depends on.

4.Plans, trials and payment

The application has plan tiers and a 14-day trial that grants the higher tier when an account is created. They govern which features an account may use — nothing more.

Ishizenz does not accept payment. There is no checkout, no card is ever requested, no invoice is issued, and no subscription renews or lapses into a charge. If a plan ends, the account keeps working with fewer features and your analyses stay exactly where they are; nothing is deleted and nothing is locked away from you. When paid plans do arrive, they will not start silently — you will have to choose one, and these terms will be updated first and put to you for acceptance.

5.What you put in, and who owns it

Your analyses are yours. You keep every right in them, and nothing in these terms transfers ownership to us. We use them only to run the service for you: storing them, showing them back to you and letting you export them.

We do not read your analyses, mine them, sell them, or use them to train anything. An earlier version of these terms said no AI model was connected to this product, and promised that if one ever was it would be described in the Privacy Policy and put to you before it processed anything you wrote. One is connected now — that is what this version of the terms is asking you to accept, and the Privacy Policy describes it field by field. The promise is unchanged in substance: what is sent is used to answer your request and may not be used to train a model, ours or anyone else’s.

You are responsible for what you put in. In particular: an analysis often names colleagues, and sometimes describes an incident in detail. Whether you are entitled to record those things is your call to make, under your own obligations to the people concerned — we hold the content on your behalf and cannot make that judgement for you.

Take a copy when it matters. “Download my data” in Settings → Account, and the export formats on each analysis, exist so that your work never depends only on us being here.

6.What you may not do

  • Break the law with it, or use it to harm somebody.
  • Try to reach another account’s data, or probe the service for ways to do so. If you find one, tell us — see the contact below — and we will thank you rather than pursue you.
  • Automate against the service in a way that degrades it for other people, or resell access to it.
  • Upload content you have no right to hold, or anything designed to damage a system that opens it.
  • Use it to store special-category data — health records, biometric data, and the other categories art. 9 lists — which this product was not designed or assessed for.

If an account does one of these things we may suspend it. Where the situation allows for it we will tell you first, and you will get the chance to export your data.

7.Availability, and what we do not promise

There is no uptime guarantee. The service is provided as it is and as it is available, without warranties of any kind, and it may be unavailable for maintenance, for a failure at one of the providers listed in the Privacy Policy, or because something broke.

The application cannot be started without a connection. It caches its own files so it loads quickly, but an analysis is fetched from the server, so launching it on a dead network gets you a page telling you the network is gone and nothing else. Do not plan a shop-floor review around starting it offline.

An analysis you already have open is different. If the connection drops while you are working in it, you can keep working: the changes are kept on this device, they survive closing the tab, and they are sent as soon as you are back online. The editor tells you when that is what is happening. Signing out discards anything still waiting, and you are warned before it does.

8.Liability

Ishizenz is a tool for organising an investigation. It does not decide what caused a failure, it does not validate a corrective action, and it is not a quality management system of record. The conclusions in an analysis are the ones the people using it reached, and the responsibility for them is theirs.

To the fullest extent Italian law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for loss of data — and because the service is free, no amount is owed to you for the use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, and nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.

9.Ending it

You can leave at any time. “Delete account permanently” in Settings → Account removes your account and your analyses immediately and irreversibly, so export first if you want to keep anything.

We may close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the service. If the service is going to end we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data — a closed test can end, and it should not end by simply going dark.

10.Changes to these terms

These terms carry a version, shown at the top of the page, and the version you accepted is recorded against your account. When we change them materially we publish a new version and ask you to accept it before you continue using the service. You will not find out afterwards.

11.Law, and where a dispute goes

Italian law governs this agreement. Disputes go to the courts of Milan, Italy — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country you live in and may bring proceedings in the courts of your own place of residence.
